The first aggregator in Croatia
KOER was founded in 2008 as a development department within Klimaoprema, with a vision to create technological solutions for advanced management of high-tech products and electronic integration. Since 2020, KOER has positioned itself as a technology company that built the infrastructure for the first Virtual Power Plant in Croatia, becoming the country’s first aggregator, a key intermediary between the electricity market and end users. As an aggregator, KOER manages the Virtual Power Plant and enables users to share part of their electricity production and consumption capacities in a sustainable and efficient way.

Through the KOER Virtual Power Plant, we connect producers, consumers, and energy storage units, regardless of their location within the power system. We open the door to multiple benefits for all participants, end users are empowered to become active players in the electricity market and generate additional income, while the Croatian Transmission System Operator is provided with ancillary services to improve system management and balancing. In the era of energy decentralization, the Virtual Power Plant is a key enabler of integrating new renewable energy capacities as well as sustainable energy production and consumption.
