Any controllable energy source, load, or storage unit connected to the Croatian power system, regardless of location, can be part of the Virtual Power Plant. Control ability means the ability to adjust electricity consumption or production according to our requests. Once your unit is technically and functionally pre-qualified, it becomes part of the Virtual Power Plant providing balancing energy.
The minimum requirement is a consumption flexibility of at least 100 kW. If you can provide such flexibility at any given time, you qualify to offer ancillary services through our aggregator – KOER Virtual Power Plant.
KOER Virtual Power Plant currently provides services within the Croatian energy system. Only end consumers or producers connected to the Croatian power grid are eligible to join the Virtual Power Plant, regardless of their specific location within the country.
The total capacity demand is defined by the needs of the Croatian energy system, which also limits the capacity that can be commercialized through the Virtual Power Plant. KOER Virtual Power Plant regularly verifies capacity on a quarterly basis, with capacity amounts adjusted each quarter.
The payback time depends on the modifications needed for system integration and varies from project to project. Most companies use existing equipment, so investments are minimal.
